Hamlet: less than 100 ppl; also this
Village: larger than a hamlet but, smaller than a town
Town/Large Town: 1,000 to 20,000 and 20,000 to 100,000 respectively but it varies
City/Large City: 100,000 to 300,000 and 300,000 to 1,000,000 respectively
Metropolis: 1 to 3 million, or an urban centre within driving distance of Gotham
Conurbation: a group of cities and suburbs with 3 to 10 million ppl
Megalopolis: a group of conurbations consisting of more than 10 million ppl each
Ecumenopolis: A theoretical construction in which the entire area of Earth is taken up by human settlements, or at least that those are linked so as to... shape an urban continuum greater than a megalopolis
